Have we not learned from the The Hatfield–McCoy feud (1863–1891)?
Tit for tat only means more fighting. If after ISIS killed reporter American journalist James Foley the US didn’t start bombing the crap out of ISIS so called strongholds would they keep up the terrorist attacks? I’m not saying let them go unpunished, just not tell the world about it. Make up a story to cover up the killing and take care of it behind closed doors. Not like we haven’t heard other BS from the US gov before.
I cant help but think that the popularity, if we can call it that, of ISIS is really only brought on by the media. Would our lil girls be running off to join them if they had no idea who they were? Of course not!
So now the French are torching Mosques and Kabab stands. Well yea, Japinder that has been making your lunch for years is responsible. Way to go. The good folks that go to their church and pray? Guilty I suppose. I can’t blame the French for doing this of course, cause I too would surely be pissed, and want to do something about it. However, I know that this is only going to fuel the fire, and the only thing that will happen is more people would join ISIS, simply because they are pissed too.
ISIS was created because we all became desensitized to the Taliban, and other groups we’ve heard of through the years. They ‘got’ their leaders, and if the groups didn’t disappear after that, it’s mission failed. So it’s easy, create a new group to hate, which really consist of the same bad people.
So, shut up, stupid. These groups need awareness. They don’t want a nice pat on the back, they want people to hate them and be angry, and to do something stupid. That’s how they win. If the media would stop talking about them, and the powers at be probably wouldn’t say much. They can’t get votes by talking about something that nobody else knows about. Then the ISIS, or whatever the incarnations name fire would surely dwindle to a smoldering mess.
